Engraving
produces a very sharp image with dense, vibrant colour and produces an image or text that is slightly raised. Ink is applied to the die and then wiped from the surface leaving only ink in the line. When the die is pressed onto the paper, the ink is pulled out of the line leaving the die ready for another application of ink.
